Mid-Level Programmer

Collide is looking for a mid-level programmer for it’s projects division to work on VR and MR software development. The desired tech profile has plenty of experience in:

  • Architecture design;
  • Full-stack programming in game development;
  • Requirements analysis;
  • Software Design Patterns;
  • C# (as in, a lot of experience);
  • Game Engines (Unity is crucial);
  • Version control systems (Git).

The ideal profile must have:

  • Software Engineering background;
  • Passion for games and the games industry;
  • Thorough knowledge of industry tech standards;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Experience with TDD;
  • Knowledge of the videogames production pipeline;
  • Shipped at least one game;
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English;
  • Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills;
  • Strong knowledge of game engines’ architecture;
  • 5+ years of work experience in the games or any other relevant software industry .

As a plus you:

  • Are a Unity Certified Professional Programmer;
  • Have plenty of experience with Unreal Engine (Blueprints and C++);
  • Have solid experience with multiplayer services like Photon, GameSparks and SpatialOS;
  • Have a solid games industry contacts network.

This on-site role will take place at our posh office in Parque das Nações in Lisbon where you can have fun not just working but also playing 8 ball pool, table tennis, consoles, CCGs and Boardgames, and the occasional outdoor activities. We have fresh fruit delivered every day, beer on tap and plenty of training and social events.

Internship for AI Programmer

Collide has an AI Programmer internship opening for its R&D division. Our aim is to do exploratory work on agent-based dynamic systems. The desired tech profile is highly knowledgeable of:

  • Machine Learning;
  • Agent Based Modelling;
  • Decision Models;
  • Software Design Patterns;
  • C#;
  • Game Engines (Unity is crucial).

The ideal profile must have:

  • Software Engineering background;
  • Passion for games and the games industry;
  • Thorough knowledge of industry tech standards;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English;
  • Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills;
  • Knowledge of game engines’ architecture;
  • Published work (or to be published soon) in the same field.

As a plus you:

  • Are a geek;
  • Love videogames;
  • Have some really weird stories to tell.
